- B&H certified-engine-ready staff engage with the shipper and pre-plan the journey.
- All necessary commercial paperwork and handling instructions and complete and accurate.
- A B&H approved engine haulier arranged.
- Air-ride suspension is always provided.
- Engine tie-down in accordance with engine manual and the B&H operating procedures, photographed and documented for the customer as proof of correct transport.
Transportation
- Air-ride vehicles carry out the road transport element with tarpaulins provided for protection when transported on a low loader or flat bed.
- Forklifts or cranes used in the loading and unloading are of the appropriate specification for the size, weight and sensitivity of the engine.
- Tie-down procedures are provided to the carriers handling agent when loading on to the aircraft Unit Load Device (ULD).
- Wherever possible, transfer to the aircraft is supervised and photographed to ensure no impact damage occurs.
- GPS tracking and monitoring provides data on transport conditions such as location, humidity, and adverse movement.
Delivery
- Schedule timing is verified to minimise cost impact of waiting time for specialist equipment.
- B&H approved engine haulier arranged.
- Air-ride suspension always provided.
- Photos taken of the tie-down after collection from the airline and prior to unloading at the consignee facility.
- Proof of delivery sent to customer.
Storage
- Engine receipt SOP strictly followed, and engine positioned in dedicated climate-controlled environment.
- Pictures of arrival tie-down and visual inspection report uploaded to FirstTRAC.
- Humidity indicators monitored on days 1, 7, then every 28 days following.
- Any anomalies reported directly to customer in case of desiccant replacement or re-preservation.
- B&H storage SOP followed on despatch.
- Conforms to AS 9120 and ISO 9001.
