Seamless V2500 Engine Transport from Hong Kong to Madrid

B&H Worldwide logistics equipment at airport cargo terminal.

Challenges

On 13 November, B&H Worldwide was entrusted with an urgent evening mandate to transport a high-value V2500 engine from CASL’s Hong Kong facility to Madrid, with a definitive delivery deadline of 20 November. The operation presented significant challenges: oversized dimensions surpassing direct freighter capacity, stringent dangerous goods compliance obligations, a compressed timeline posing risks of aircraft downtime plus financial penalties, alongside rigorous manufacturer handling specifications requiring absolute adherence to prevent asset damage.

Our Approach

Execution & Engine Handling

Single-point coordination: collected "Good" from CASL HK, real-time control tower tracking, Madrid partner delivered door-to-MRO and cleared T1.

Technical Supervision & Risk Mitigation

We supervised HK loading, photo/video verified tie-down standards, B&H managed T1 for seamless border crossing.

Innovative Routing

Multimodal hub-and-spoke: HKG-FRA airfreight via heavy-lift freighters, FRA-MAD road via dedicated low-loader with air-ride suspension.
